On August 7, 2018, I presented a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) course on creating a private lawsuit for bullying in schools to the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The presentation discussed New Jersey’s Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) law and why parents currently can’t but should be able to sue a school district or the bully’s parents for failure to protect their child.
